Justice for Children, Justice for All: Agenda for Action

Justice for Children requires us to respond to children’s distinct needs, and realize their full range of rights and opportunities, to achieve peaceful, just and inclusive societies for all. This Agenda for Action for Justice for Children sets out the strategic levers for change to achieve SDG16 for children in the 2030 Agenda. It emphasizes the need to involve children meaningfully in the justice process. The document advocates for child-friendly justice systems that prevent harm, invite children's views, and provide avenues for redress. It calls for intergenerational partnerships, smarter financing strategies, data-driven reforms, and the scaling up of justice innovations to ensure justice for children. The aim is to address the unique challenges faced by children, prevent future problems, and strengthen societal cohesion.
